Times are a lot slower for everybody right now, globally, yet they really don’t need to be. Working with creatives I am pretty used to slow season happening. When I worked within the wedding industry there were often ‘slow seasons’ and I remember feeling the pressure to build the momentum again for a busier season ahead. So here i give 2 ways to upscale your creative business during down time.
This does not need to happen.
1: Audit your Brand as a Whole
Take a step back and look deep in the depths of your brand from its voice (you) right through to the branding itself. Does everything marry up and are you consistent with your brand message and imagery right through to your website and social media? If you’d prefer someone else to do this for you, I offer brand audits which will really help to elevate your brand.
2: Ensure that you are being consistent
This means that you should take a look at your website, social media and any other platform that you are currently using. Do your graphics match up? Have you got a consistent message? All of these things are needed to make your brand become professional and polished. If not, you may need to be looking into getting a full visual identity. This is something that i recommend in making your life a whole lot easier as a creative business (because how can you be creative without the visuals?)
3: Clarify your brand
If you’re unsure of who your target client is, this will become visible for all to see. You won’t be able to connect with your clients and you certainly won’t be able to market for them. You need to map out your ideal client and get some clarity on your brand – once you have this in place, everything else will follow. Need some help niching down?
