When I’m browsing and scrolling through Instagram I’ll often go to click onto small businesses websites via their bios and 9 times out of ten I will end up being diverted to LinkTree. Within this blog post I will take you through the step-by-step on how to create a branded Instagram landing page for your creative business.
Whilst LinkTree does the job, what it doesn’t do is get your potential clients landing directly onto your website, instead it they are being diverted by their own. Therefore, this is then not ideal for your own SEO.
I want you to get working on your own conversion rates as opposed to linking to third parties. It’ll be worth it in the long run, trust me.
By having your own Instagram landing page you will be continually adding to your client journey – I mean, there’s not much point in making your social media look really pretty and branded with intent when you then go and send them to a non-branded free trial of a third party app.
Okay, I’ll get to the nitty gritty because that’s why you’re here right?
How to build your landing page in Showit:
1: You will need to set up a new page within your Showit website and from there ensure that you have your brand icon or submark present and at the top. Add a click action of your homepage to your icon. That way people can still click on your brand logo/submark and still be able to access your homepage.
2: Create as many rectangles as you need for as many services as you are offering via the Instagram quick links.
3: Within each rectangle add the text to describe your service.
4: Create click actions diverting your audience to the select pages for those services.
5: Ensure that your brand colours are used and that all fonts match the rest of your branding and your website – I know that I’m stating the obvious here but sometimes it can be easy to forget.
But Sophie, I’ve so much on my website what should I offer on my Instagram page?
I’d recommend that you include:
1: Any CTA’s (call to actions) – your MOST valued offer that you are giving right now
2: Your brand logo/submark to link to your homepage
3: Any freebies/lead magnets that you currently have
4: Blog posts
5: Ways that your audience can contact you – links to your booking forms or contact pages.
So there we have it, a simple trick that will get your audience going straight to your own website as opposed to going via third-party apps and sites. If you try this method, please do let me know how you get on as I’d love to see yours!
