Oh hello you! So you’ve landed upon my blog because you’d love to transform your online creative business and you’ve heard SO many times about the ‘magic number seven.’ So, let’s begin with why we use the rule number seven to transform your creative business…
The number seven is the amount of single impressions it will take for your audience to view your product/service and want to then buy from you
So what does this mean? Aside from the fact that you’ve to sell seven times to get an interest within your services. It means that you’ve to:
1: Get savvy with your website marketing
You aren’t going to want to bore your audience senseless with the same service over and over but say for example, you’d love for people to join your email list. If this is the predominant marketing channel that you’re taking right now, then you’ll need to have this service across your website seven times. Although, let’s be honest, it needs to be designed in a way that stands out (but also isn’t repeated the full seven times across a single page). Get creative with it and use different text and imagery to lure your audience in… but still getting them onto the exact same email list each and every time.
2: Remind Your audience as they may forget
You need to remember that although you feel like you are constantly selling… you aren’t. Your potential audience is extremely busy and they need to be reminded. Just because they’ve shown an interest within your product or service, they may also forget as they get sidetracked within their own business. Marketing your product seven times (these days it’s likely to be 77 times due to the sheer volume of noise online!) and in different ways will help your audience to remember.
3: Ensure that your website has good user experience
So this is a big one, and one that we often forget about (especially if you have created a DIY website) – we need to ensure that we have really good user experience upon our websites. Your website is where you will be driving a huge percentage of your traffic to; so if it doesn’t have a good user experience then you will automatically disengage your audience and they then won’t even get to see the rule of seven work its magic upon your website!
These are three simple tips to help you upon your way with marketing using the rule of seven for your creative business.
