Arghaaaa it’s getting close and the day is nearing to launch your brand new Showit website… but you’re feeling a little lost and confused. All of the excitement has gotten a bit much and now you’re feeling overwhelmed and out of depth.
So what next? What exactly is it that you need to do in order to successfully launch your Showit website and get the most out of the experience?
Before you launch I’d love you to read through this blog.
Here’s what you need to do…
Create an excitement around your launch
To start with, you should be excited, very excited in fact, about launching your new website. You’ve worked really hard alongside your designer and you’ll have gained a new found confidence in wanting to show off your works.
Social media is the best place to do this (alongside your email list, in fact, it’s also a great way to grow your list too!) The reason why social media is the best place is because you can gain a higher reach, quicker than what you may be able to do with your email list or current clients. This will allow you to grow your audience too.
So, what do you show?
You can show your recent brand shoot that you’ve had for your website, snippets from pages (which can easily be created within canva), fonts, colour palettes or even some illustrations.
What do you not show?
Just don’t show all of it at one go! You need to build a suspense so just slowly, slowly introduce parts of your rebranded website.
Use it to grow your audience
When you’re launching your Showit website think of different ways that you can gain a higher reach … the more people that view your website = higher chance of gaining a new audience to begin to nurture.
Think about asking others within your industry to feature within a guest blog, instagram live or story takeover, use Canva to create videos and graphics and post them across all social media platforms that your business uses. Create your own blog post too and then share this across all platforms. You could even host a giveaway to share your excitement of your launch…
Use your email list…
I know that I briefly mentioned this at the start but use your email list to your advantage. They are your most loyal following and they are already nurtured. This means that they’ll likely share the excitement with you, ask questions and begin talking about your new website with you to their following.
If you don’t have a list, then this is okay and it is a great way to start one. I use Flodesk which is an incredible platform that allows me to reach my audience in a way that showcases my brand aesthetic. You can do the same too! Get people to join your new email list by getting them to subscribe and you can update them upon the launch of your new website!
Most importantly…
Be YOU. I see so many people getting ready to launch their websites and feel completely out of their comfort zones. If you struggle with the graphics side of things then outsource it so that you can get the very best out of your launch. It’ll also allow you to feel more comfortable. You can also get a VA to help you with your email list so that you don’t have to worry about that side of things either.
